It's stunning when the lakes freeze like glass.

Winter arc coming up. Still need to stay more consistent. But I’m slowly feeling more motivated and that’s the most important thing. Motivating thoughts lead to action. Just need to cut out the time between the thought and acting on it now.

My penmanship has always been terrible. But I’m thinking of putting effort into learning calligraphy. The way Gurbani is written on folios is so beautiful. If I could replicate even a fraction of that artistic talent, I would be satisfied.

On second thought, the fresco seems to be chipping away actually. You can see flakes of white marble underneath on the right side.

The SGPC needs to invest in restoration efforts inside Darbar Sahib at the very least.

Quickly took a picture of this fresco while going down the from the top floor inside Darbar Sahib. Seems fairly intact from the time it was commissioned, most likely during Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s reign.

I wish it was easier to motivate myself to write everyday. I have random bursts of writing driven by passion or spite. But other times even a deadline can barely make me write more than pages of word salad.

It’s ironic that reading books/articles to finish my writing is holding me back from reading the books I want. This cycle seems never ending.

An individual’s materiality doesn’t cease their impressions and their ideas manifesting in the world. Legacy is passed down through individuals inspired by great ideas or by achievements.
