Being furloughed is its own kind of limbo, too much time to think, not enough control over what comes next. I’m trying to keep busy, painting, baking, walking my dog, anything to stay sane. The uncertainty hurts, but I’m reminding myself to breathe, move, create, and trust that the storm will pass👩🏻‍🎨

Was labeled essential and exempt but can’t really do my job when I rely on departments within the agency that are furloughed to do my research and other activities, so Wednesday was my last day of work until the politicians who passed a law to insure their pay in a shutdown pull their heads out of…

Need to change the chandelier in my stairwell to something more dramatic…
All light fixtures in my home will be replaced but this one and the one in my entry (a smaller version of this one) need to go first. These walls will be covered in art but first, the chandelier, before I design the art wall

It was. I always have great conversations with people. People love to talk politics with me because of my former work and they love asking questions about my job. I’m a good listener too. And one said to me “can we just agree now to never divorce from this friendship”

Neighbors stopped by unexpectedly last night and we sat in my driveway with a fire and chatted until the wee hours of the night. I definitely had too much beer and am paying for it at work today 🍺

X3 is where I’m leaning most. I think it’s a better size for me but I’m worried about the 4 cylinder being too meh, and that is my only hesitation. I loved my x5 so I know I’d be happy with a newer model. I looked into Lexus but they’re so expensive. Worth it but what I’d get, is over my budget

Well, its between a X5 or X3, had an X5 that was totaled that I loved but always felt it was little big for me. Used to get bruises on my legs getting in and out of it cuz I’m short. But then last night I looked at Jeep Grand Cherokee that was super nice. Vastly different. So now I’m confused 😹😹🎃
