Genuinely shocked and amazed to have won the award for Best Scenario for Resort at the Australian Industry Roleplaying Awards.

I am truly grateful to all the playtesters, my friend @johnnylogmar.bsky.social, the fine folks @chaosium.bsky.social and the TTRPG community for their support. 🙏

And this 2ND in line baroness was brought to life beautifully both in play and illustration by @annspaghetti.bsky.social! I really played up the class from @chaosium.bsky.social and all it's author's gaslight chtulhu, so she and Kirk McDougal be scheming while the rest rushes to St. Paul's Church

Running @katclay.com's hammersmith haunting again today this time over on roll20 with friends from all over the globe :) 6 investigators so one more then is usual, we made their character an scheming villainess, second in line to an barony. Her sister actually sponsors the club to keep her busy.

Headlice is my favourite game of PAX so far.

Absolutely madcap parasitic adventures, but they got the mechanics just right. Hilarious.

PAX I am here!

I'm not doing panels or content creation this year, just chilling and catching up with friends. If you see me, feel free to say hi.

Also thankyou! Your feedback about not labelling boxes as 'box' was helpful 😁

It's got the Royal Selangor stamp and is signed 1996. Goes with my Gollum goblet...

Can't believe this seriously good op shop find of the Galadriel goblet by Royal Selangor. Straight to the Gondor room.

Thanks mate, I actually only review video games at the moment, just because I write TTRPGs. But happy to connect if you're working on your own productions.

A real privilege to give a guest lecture on writing for games at RMIT tonight.

Means a lot to me to hopefully open the door to TTRPGs to someone else, the same way @markmwrites.bsky.social did for me.

I think especially with ttrpgs, the story should be able to work without fancy fonts, images and maps. These are nice things to have, but in the end it's theatre of the imagination.

This is one of the reasons I provide a plain text Word doc with my games.

Sure, people could misuse it but it's worth it for accessibility. If you ever need to convert it to an epub to meet your needs it's fine with me.

I would really love to see TTRPGs also released as an epub so I can read it on my phone in dark mode when I'm curled up from a migraine.

Most TTRPG pdfs aren't easily viewed on phones, and it's an accessibility issue rarely discussed. And there are more applications for epubs than my migraine days.

This made me feel better about taking months to write a game review, because I always want it to be the best review I've written to date, and I mostly don't care if anyone reads it. I'm happy in my little literary game criticism corner of the internet.

Also I need this trinket plate, I will succeed because I am insane.
