It’s a shame that there are no longer class 43 locos running timetabled services in England.
BUT…
They were past their working lives, unsafe and environmentally unfriendly.
However we re lucky to have such an amazing heritage rail network, so this testament to British engineering can be celebrated

Absolutely heartbroken to hear that our local “station cat” Nala has passed away aged just 6. Nala was a well known and loved character around Stevenage. He even turned the Christmas lights on once. He will be so missed

Never ceases to amaze and frustrate me that, despite having to pay for parking, airfares, a bag, and a hire car to get to the destination, flying to Scotland is still less than half the price of train tickets
Can’t wait to be back Up North for a big celebration next year
