Who has feminist rage & identifies as a woman? Check out this new #nonfiction #CNF #essays call at Dismantling Press.

"This call is intentionally activist. We are interested in work that is unapologetic, incisive, and impassioned—essays that treat fury as legitimate, necessary, and political."

This story drew me in with that first line so quick. Phenomenal writing, the characters are well imagined, and I really enjoyed the MC’s voice. Give it a read if you need a little disturbance to jolt your morning into gear.

Welcome back, Jaime, and it's a great pleasure to be feat. Full Circle, Perfect Square today. It's so apt if you consider how the UK urban skylines continues to change and the types of buildings that are going up @jaimegill.bsky.social#shortstory #readingxommunity #writingcommunity
Delighted to have my second story in the wondrous Fictive Dream. It’s a tale of dreams, disillusionment, property capitalism, white privilege, neocolonialism and the importance of having a nice view. (There is definitely a bit of me in the main character. Don’t read if you’re from Wolverhampton FYI)

Jaime's at it again with yet another quiet emotion packed story. I'm so glad this one found a home, it's an important story that I hope we never forget. It's beautiful, devastatingly sad, and oh so very human. You should definitely read it.
Long time since I released a big beast into the wild but here is The Future Is Me, told from NHS waiting rooms during the peak of the AIDS epidemic. The siblings are my most Northumbrian characters though a Colombian walked in from nowhere and kidnapped the story.

I feel privileged to have read this story by the talented @jaimegill.bsky.social beforehand, and am pleased (and unsurprised) to see it snapped up by Oyster River. It's one of the most human and emotionally resonant hard science fiction stories I've ever read. A highly recommended read.
This makes me so happy I could cry. Black Sky, Blue Earth - my aching story about climate collapse & personal rebirth - is the lead story in this year’s @oysterriverpages.bsky.social. It has a lot of my soul in it. Please read it & all of Oyster River’s work
