I think maybe we, as widows need a "safe word"
In Sanskrit, Broken is "Bhagna" its as good as a word as any.
We say "I'm fine" and "I'm Ok"
But we know that our world has been broken - shattered and a huge hole where our heart was is covered in tissue paper. That's never going to heal.
We have lost everything that matters.

Not that we wish it on them or any one. But for them to truly understand our agony.

I am broken. Given time and grace, I will be mended.

I will be ok.

For now,
I am broken.
That something - even a hug or a simple text message saying " I'm thinking of you" can be the single candle that illuminates the darkest room. That at this moment we can't take any more.
Not just yet.
Maybe later we will be alright in time. Maybe later others will understand. Actually - listen.
It just gets ignored because we can't bring back the one we love.
We feel abandoned by friends and family. Our pain is too much for them to cope with. They step back - walk away. Go on with their own lives leaving us to manage in the darkness.

We need a safe word to let others know we are not ok.

Karen who insisted I let my pup run free in the back yard with out a leash or collar.

When this happened, she was on a leash, at my side. Not a 20 foot retractable leash, but a 5 foot leash .
She's fast. It happened in seconds.

Had I just let her run, it would have been the end.

So we rest.
to swallow pills? They never had a yorkie.
Fortunately, stuffing the pill into a tiny bit of pineapple has worked.
Her gut health still isn't normal. It may not be for a while.
A follow up visit with her regular vet was 4 and a half hours and an additional 300$.

I am reminded of the well meaning
Ice cubes have worked.
Frozen pumpkin shapes, frozen pineapple bits, rice - normally treat food but now needed to get her gut to heal.

She was fine with the paste medication, and the stuff sprinkled over her food.
It was the antibiotic that has been an issue. All those tricks about getting a dog
back off.

Yes. She was wearing her service dog in training vest. Of course the rules don't apply to Karen's. She hadn't been seen by the vet - and from symptoms she may have had parvo.

It took 46 hours after the first blood stool before pooping again. It's been a struggle keeping her hydrated
Yes, she's adorable.
Fokes, this was an ER. Not a petting zoo. She was in pain.
She doesn't know you.
Stay the fuck away from my dog.
Of course you can't say that to people. But it's evident that when a dog goes from laying in its owners arms to struggling to get away from you, it's time to
her fuzzy but with a repeat of the same 10 miniutes later.

7 hours in the ER with her laying in my arms whining in pain. Sub Q fluids in her neck, x rays, medication & 975$ later shes fast asleep on the way home.

It amazes me that multiple times total stranger wanted to come up and pet Lady pup.
So, just as I am slowly recovering from my fall Lady pup decided to try & gobble a chunk of something in the front grass. I thought I got it all out of her mouth and throat - (she had no idea why I was so insistant)
The next day she let loose a foul smelling pile of tar, blood and stringy gel from
sorry I haven't been on recently.
I slipped, fell and ended up in the middle of the street. elbow, knee & thigh and cracked my ribs. the Dr says it will take 6 weeks to heal.
I've encountered young people who insist there were no pow camps in ww2. That it was propaganda.
Yeah.
So... why did my Da get a medal for being a pow in ww2 then?
It's 90+ degrees here with like 87% humidity.
I'm not going anywhere.
Ah!
My husband and I watched it, (he had seen it several times. )

I guess my fundamental issue with some of these movies is the hero is slways a kid and everyone who is an adult is blundering and needs rescued by 11 yr olds.
Sounds alot like the golden compass movie.

Yes, I'm missing my favorite detective, Gordon Katsumoto. Can, please, somebody bring him back to us?🥲 Love ya Tim! 😊 @timkang.bsky.social @jayhernandez001.bsky.social #perditaweeks #zachknighton #magnumpi #hawaii
That policy is pretty much across the board with most usa companies. The only reason why it made the news is because he's a public figure.

It's TC Tuesday! 💖My big wish? TC flying his chopper again! There must be a way to grant this wish, especially since I'm not exactly the only one who wishes this, right? #stephenhill #chopper #magnumpi @jayhernandez001.bsky.social #zachknighton #rogeremosley
Update!
Apparently Karen has continued to blather on about how wrong I am with raising my pup and now others are stepping up & telling her - look, her vets approve, the pup is fine- it's not your decision to do anything so shut the fuck up.
Needless to say, Karen is not taking it well.
Smh.
and agreed with everything she said. (multiple personality perhaps.)

That brings a whole new level of cu-cu for cocoa puffs.
I have laundry to do today then pup and I are going to binge watch the Orville.

I've blocked Karen, and her friends.
My pups vets have said my pup is healthy. She's fine.
hours of the morning.

I realized last night Karen was a shy step away from reporting me to authorities for animal abuse because I didn't do as she said.

I found her profile and saw she had 4 friends all of whom were in the group we were in and each of them had the same 4 friends. All of whom liked
times we just sit & cuddle at 3 am.

When I rest, yes, she's placed in her crate because, as recommended by her vet, she can't be left unsupervised until at least a year of age.

Pup has alerted me when my blood sugar crashes. According to Karen this is impossible. But hey this happened in the wee
We take our walks.

Pup always has fresh water avalible and kibble. She gets 1/4 cup 2x a day plus treats.
Her pup pads are changed when they get soiled - even if it's a teaspoon of urine, the area is scrubbed and a new one put down.

At night? She's taken to the litter box every two hours & some
KNOWS what she is talking about... and I HAVE to Google to prove she's right and I'm wrong...

My pups crate is 36x30 for a 5 month old yorkie. It has her food and water as well as a large puppy pad for her to lay on.
She has access, when I'm up, to the tiled living room, or outside on a lead when
