This kind of funding is a pittance to the federal government but makes all the difference to humanities scholars, where mid-career fellowships are few and far between. Now there are hardly any left

I couldn't have finished the book without fellowship funding from the @nehgov.bsky.social. It's an understatement to say that I'm infuriated that other scholars are having their funds stripped away in such a cruel and callous manner.
