I’ve gotten really into drawing wonky buildings lately
I love the dentist because it’s the one medical professional that I know will gush over me.
My normal doctor? “you could stand to lose a few pounds.”
My optometrist? “WOW you’re blind.”
My neurologist? “You’re a medical oddity, freak.”
My dentist? “You obviously floss you beautiful bastard.”

I’ve gotten really into drawing wonky buildings lately
I cook so my husband always does the dishes.
But sometimes I like to sneak in there and do the dishes before he gets to them just so he remembers how incorrectly I fill the dishwasher.

Note: when taking the kids out of school for a “surprise” on a holiday week, they seemed to think I was going to take them to the airport for something great and not the dentist.

Making comics is weird. Like, right now… as I ink, I have to say to myself “I know I’m going to get an editorial note about the cockatrice’s butthole and am I really going to go to the mattresses over this or do I just not add it now.”

When I work digitally, I use different colors on different layers of my pencils so I know exactly where to go in to adjust, resize, etc while I'm cleaning things up.

40 years ago, the first comic of Calvin and Hobbes was published… setting off decades of children being inspired to be cartoonists.
Bill should be ashamed of himself. My god. Look at all those cartoonists just out and about now. Gross.
