I support innovation.
I demand accountability.
All Canadians should be concerned about why OpenAI (ChatGPT) wants to muscle into Canada and don’t be enamoured by the $$$. I won’t stay silent while OpenAI pollutes our infrastructure and hijacks our future. Our Canadian resources should be protected.

I work with AI daily. AI can be helpful. It can be powerful. But OpenAI’s approach of centralized control, vague ethics, and aggressive expansion, undermines public trust and democratic oversight.

We need strong, enforceable regulations that protect our infrastructure, our privacy, and our future.That means:
• Full transparency on energy usage and environmental impacts
• Strict controls on data ownership and cross-border transfers
• Accountability for foreign firms operating on Canadian soil

If someone has our PII, they could manipulate ballots in an election, especially mail in ballots. They could target misinformation campaigns to potential voters and manipulate voter rolls. This is outright stealing.

AI tools are becoming deeply embedded in software development, and if companies don’t lock down how those tools are updated and reviewed, they risk opening the door to serious cyberattacks. And there are no regulations 2 protect citizens.
