Greg Roman is OUT. I have 20 names on my board for the Chargers to consider as their new offensive coordinator, with a heavy slant towards pass game coordinators who could unlock this offense:
20 candidates to replace Greg Roman as Chargers' OC in 2026
Here are 20 potential candidates for the Chargers' open job, which should be one of the best coordinator openings of the year.

The Chargers also fired OL coach Mike Devlin, sources tell The Insiders.

had to. will be interesting to see how Jim Harbaugh approaches this. the Harbaugh tree is pretty thin on the offensive side so it's pretty likely they'll have to go to the extended family, if not outside entirely. candidates coming soon on Chargers Wire

the playoffs expose very small flaws. Chargers offense had huge ones. no quick game, no pressure plan, OTs decimated, drop the run game if it doesn't work in 1Q. been like that all year

the Chargers are (likely) going to give Greg Roman and Mike Devlin the injury excuse and bring them back for a third season.

it's going to end the same way.

there is not a path forward with this offensive staff. they are not capable of rising to the occasion

Milton Williams puts Bradley Bozeman on the ground and then drives Justin Herbert six feet under to end the Chargers season. fitting

what's important to remember about this game is that the Chargers are unwilling to provide you happiness

Keenan Allen drop, things are going well

we have once again entered the "the Chargers defense refuses to let their opponent into the end zone but the offense has approximately 60 bullet holes in its feet so the Chargers are losing 9-3" zone

I swear to god if the Chargers don't re-sign Teair Tart I'm protesting outside the Bolt

2 Patriots turnovers have turned into 0 Chargers points. will be one of the big stories of the night if LA can't get this one done

collated last night and this morning's reporting on the Demond Williams Jr. situation, including some of my own tidbits from conversations with sources and compliance personnel. this is going to keep getting messier for everyone involved:
Washington prepares for chaos as Demond Williams Jr. saga continues
The Washington Huskies refuse to put Demond Williams Jr.'s name into the transfer portal despite his intention to depart the university.

2025 has been really good to me despite it starting with me getting clocked by a Kyle McCord pass. engineered a great year at Wide Left, started covering basketball, moved the spreadsheets over to Football Sheets, hit 3k(!) of you. always grateful for the opportunity!

I cannot fathom what compelled the Chargers to start Bobby Hart over Austin Deculus this week given that Hart had not played LT in three years and Deculus has mostly been slightly above catastrophic

December 23, 2025 at 2:00 AM

takeaways from the Chargers' 7th win in 8 games. Justin Herbert and Omarion Hampton played great games thanks in no small part to a good(!) game from the OL. defense stepped up huge in the second half. starting to feel like LA could *maybe* make a run
5 takeaways from Chargers’ win over Cowboys in Week 16
The victory was the Chargers' fourth consecutive win, improving their record to 11-4.

can make a very strong argument no QB has been carrying a heavier workload on offense the past two years than justin herbert. mahomes too.
December 21, 2025 at 8:15 PM
nooooooooooo not Kimani Vidal
December 21, 2025 at 8:15 PM
feels like there's one scramble every game where Justin Herbert simply decides he is untackleable behind the line of scrimmage
December 21, 2025 at 8:14 PM
please extend Teair Tart this offseason
