even if tatsuya makes connections abt each side, he won't talk unless he's got the truth. take his avoidance on whether the cops are corrupt or not when katsuya asks; still, shiori explains his father's conviction, which makes his past make sense, yet w/o evidence on his side, he can't call it truth

Tatsuya Suou in Persona 2 Eternal Punishment, in Etheria, saying to Maya Amano, "Everyone's curious about the other world... It's not that different from this one."

Next to him, Katsuya Suou says, "I don't care about liquor... I just hope police on the 'Other Side' are not corrupt." This is a bit of a lie, as he's well into his alcoholism again by this point in the game, but he's driven to drinking by police corruption, in a sense! His arms are also folded over his chest; defensive.

Katsuya in Sumaru TV, saying to Maya, "It is still hard for me to believe. But Tatsuya would never lie to me... Even if it's Tatsuya from the 'Other Side'!" His arms are folded again, likely defensively given he still distrusts the whole two sides thing, but trusts his brother. He goes back and forth on the issue a lot at this point in the game.

how everyone reacts to the longinus units calling attention to their weak points says a lot abt how they handle conflict in p2is. lisa and maya are both avoidant to a fault, not wanting to address the issues they bring up, but eikichi fights them on the issue, while yukino counters their hypocrisy

naoya's demon-led contacts change vibes notably depending on what moon phase the demons initiate the contact in. on a full moon, they'll want to get down to negotiating immediately, yet on a new moon, they're happy to chatter w naoya on a more personal, less assertive level <3 so neat!

Naoya Toudou in Persona 1, in Kama Palace, in a full moon demon contact. The demon (Pairika) says, "You know, if you don't have any business with me, I have other things to do." Naoya's replies are, "We got business," (in character, addresses what he wants to do/feels) "Get outta here," (least in character), and "Hey, don't leave!" (deflective, doesn't address Naoya's wants).

Another contact with Naoya, with the demon (Gremlin) in the Abandoned Factory saying, "Hee-hurry up and state your business, ho! If you don't, I'm hee-hoofing it hee-home, ho!" Naoya's replies are (with the same answering scheme as before), "We've got business," "Go home," "Stay here."

Same deal, but a New Moon contact with Naoya and a demon (Power) in Mana Castle. They say, "N-Normally, I would not have time to hear your words, but this once... I will make an exception." Naoya replies, with the same scheme, "Please do so," "Then forget it," "Shut up!"

Same deal again, in a contact on a New Moon in Mana Castle between Naoya and the demon Ocelot. Ocelot says, "But what are ya doin' here without the moonlight as your guide?" to which Naoya says, "Talk with demons," "Demon hunting," and "A stroll."
