Numi at 8-9 months, with a vague resemblance to angular siamese breeds. She's grown into those ears. Sweet kitty, good sense of humor, gets annoyed if I eat crackers too loudly while she's napping on my desk. Must not disturb!

Numi the cat at around 9 months old. She had long ears, high cheekbones, greenish-gray eyes, brown-black fur with contrasting white whiskers.

I met three personable turkeys recently. They are very cool, like little dinosaurs.

White-feathered turkey, tall as a small dog, with pinkish feet. The feet have forward-pointing toes and one back-pointing toe. The head is scaly, sort of reptilian. It's easy to see a connection between birds & dinosaurs.

Was at a farm where someone had abandoned rabbits and they bred like themselves and there were about 50 out on the fields at the same time. The males stomped on the ground to threaten each other, like chest-beating but with feet.

Last night, I received notification of the 19th death of a detained person in ICE custody since Trump took office.

ICE is detaining people, mostly in private, for-profit prisons that put profit over health. And now they have furloughed the safety inspectors. This is unacceptable.

I'm sick of Democrats throwing marginalized communities under the bus to court centrists. It's disgusting & un-American. Equal protection is part of the 14th Amendment. But the gerrymandering issue is real & affects everyone.

Insurers are not only overcharging and denying payment to doctors, they're also interfering in patient care by denying coverage of services doctors think their patients need.

I agree. We absolutely DO need more like him. I am grateful for his willingness to speak out. He's standing strong and that's critically important. Prop 50 is also critically important, and I want people to understand you don't have to love Newsom to vote YES on Prop 50.

I heard wealthy clients are trending toward seeing private MDs. Established psychotherapists are also going this way, A) because insurance companies won't approve of needed services, B) don't reimburse practitioners fairly. They want to take out the middle man.

I wouldn't abandon all hope just yet, but I do think "we the people" need to get real. No one's coming to save us. We have to actively LOOK for information about boycotts, strikes, bills in the state legislature & act. Get creative.
