Recently we've been working on #CrimeScene photography with our third year #ForensicScience students. They are introduced to working with exposure, depth of field, shutter speed, and noise, before putting all this into practice in the lab.

This week on our Advanced Topics in #ForensicBiology module, both our masters and third year students were introduced to histology in #ForensicScience. Their lecture covered the types of histological methods, and in the lab they got to analyse a series of crime scene hard tissues.

Dr Falko Drijfhout who has a great interest in all things from insects, from blowflies used in determining time since death to how we can detect diseases in bees at an early stage, was early this month invited to speak at the Molecules for Life workshop.
