Something a little different today as students on #KeeleUniversity's 'Science and Society' module, run by the #ForensicScience team, tackled different types of #scicomm working to create scientific posters for a chosen topic before translating it for a public audience.

Recently we've been working on #CrimeScene photography with our third year #ForensicScience students. They are introduced to working with exposure, depth of field, shutter speed, and noise, before putting all this into practice in the lab.

This week on our Advanced Topics in #ForensicBiology module, both our masters and third year students were introduced to histology in #ForensicScience. Their lecture covered the types of histological methods, and in the lab they got to analyse a series of crime scene hard tissues.

Dr Booker us from the University of Technology Sydney, where she works at Jumbunna Research in the Indigenous Archives and Data Stewardship Hub.

The regional network aims to create a sustainable, responsive, and resilient system to foster research excellence, and operational effectiveness in #ForensicScience.
