So sad to hear of the passing of Steve Cropper, one of the most creative people I ever met. He played some wonderful guitar on an album of mine 'Stories from the Human Zoo' and gave me some advice I still follow to this day "always tune from the top string down"

what a whopper! the Death's Head Hawkmoth, arrived from Africa and will go back there to avoid the English winter in late autumn - I've never seen one before :-)

It was lovely to catch up with my old friend Ade Shaw at SoL (on bass) and the excellent Bevis Frond - an added bonus was being able to compliment the wonderful Nick Salomon on his songwriting from whose book I am DEFINITELY going to take a leaf and up my output!
