Just caught an episode of the Twilight Zone I’d never seen. It’s simple but powerful, with a reflection on the impact of a life on others by a retiring teacher.

This Christmas has felt like it’s a pivot point in time. There are so many changes coming that Christmas will likely look different next year for our family. I’m simultaneously trying to be as present as possible and withdrawing internally. I hate it.

An early gift to myself. Not a big tote bag kind of guy, but I couldn’t pass it up. One of the few times crossing the threshold of Hot Topic was worth it.

I just met up with our daughter to pick up something left at home (advantage of her being a student at the university where we work). She popped out of the building with an accordion strapped to her torso, which was the last thing I expected. It’s also the best thing I’ve seen in a while. ❤️

Discussing why a dead raccoon my 21-year-old saw today that she called a “chonker” was so large, I used the following somber philosophical statement:
“Death makes chonkers of us all, sweetie.”
Oh yeah. Gonna put it on a t-shirt, I think.
