I'd kind of be ok if they did away with 'hot dogs'. It's not something I serve often at daycare but it feels really weird when a child asks for 'more puppy.'

If anything, this tragedy shows the need for more gender affirming care. I don't condone the shooters actions but I can't imagine living as a young trans woman in a small isolated northern community. You read the hateful comments online, this person lived the hateful comments.

How many of those include people like me who cancelled their accounts but are still getting charged?

Yes, people's need to know "now" supercedes the desire to know correctly.

Yes! I work at an infant/toddler daycare. We go for walks in the community and I love seeing the looks of joy the children bring to people's faces.

It's gotten up to 13c /55f in the last few days here 😕. Most of our snow has melted and the trees think its spring. It is likely to get very cold again and all the new buds will freeze.

Wintry mix is the worst. Well slush is the worst. Fluffy light snow in high winds is second worst, when it comes to shoveling, and wintry mix comes in third. I adore snow too.

As a white female teenager I accidentally walked out of stores on three different occasions with an item in my hand. It was that easy. Each time I walked back in, replaced it on the shelf and walked back out. 🤦

I totally get that. I've lived with depression most of my life but things really started to crumble around 2021. I fell deep into cynicism. I'm starting to come out of that but it's scary, opening yourself up to hope in this world.

Oh sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant that my original comment was unnecessarily snarky. I thought your response was great. It was exactly what my brother would have said.

I hope you enjoyed your pancakes 😊

You remind me a lot of my brother, that's mostly a compliment but it also can result in being on the receiving end of unnecessary snarky comments. But your response only sealed your fate.

Crimson Tide is an actual football team!? I really just thought it was a movie and what my friends and I called our periods when we were teenagers.

I hope they are good. You know they are super easy to make, right.

I have very fond childhood memories from when my dad had giardia. I got to have some of his Gatorade drink boxes, orange was my favourite and they had clear straws! I never got juice boxes. My dad's memories are not so fond.

I came to Bluesky as a Meta refugee, I was never really on Twitter. So for folks like myself it's a big learning curve.
