#gemini season, time to start the revolution!

I read The Handmaid's Tale and then immediately got my tubes tied, even though it was looking like Kamala was going to win. I wanted all my bases covered. #booksky

Started watching #thehandmaidstale and it is so good and intricate and relevant to today's politics. Margaret Atwood why did you have to make something so real.

My best friend is my editor, but some times she'll make a comment about my writing and become my worst enemy. #writingsky

When will people understand that jobs like accountant and lawyers are something capitalist came up with and humanity's natural urge is to make art? Maybe let's have AI replace those jobs.

It's a beautiful Sunday in California and the perfect time to read Silent Soldiers on Ream. Such a gorgeous day needs to be ruined with dark dystopian fiction that makes you think about the state of the world. #booksky

Sometimes I think about #zootopia specifically the day to day about an animal society. Do you think they use stripe patterns on tigers and zebras to identify them for criminal activities? What other finger printing like methods do they use?

Today feels like a day to either go to a rager or rage about books. And I haven't been invited to a rager. #booksky

Tomorrow, I'm releasing a chapter from Silent Soldiers completely for free. If you want a sci fi dystopian about a dark academy brainwashing children into super soldiers. You should check out my book here: buff.ly/5yJZypV #booksky

I'm thinking since it's #gemini season, I should go and either join a cult or, better idea, start a cult. Who wants to worship the almighty Bull of El Torito?

People are talking about the booktok fyre festival with A Million Lives, but when has a ball based on SJM and ACOTAR ever gone well. I feel like we get stories like this every year. Name a bookish ball that worked well in the comments. #booksky

A word that I love to use in my writing is "flesh" it's such a visceral word, rather than skin. It makes me think of the human form as meat, or a product for sale. So much story in a single word. #writingsky

I'm doing my first arc read with two new books. I am so excited! I can't wait to start reading. #booksky

Just started watching Truth Be Told on @appletv and it's good, but nothing will fill the hole in my heart that Severance left. #tvsky

Why are there so many "strong female characters" that are only strong because they have good relationships with their fathers or brothers. I have both of those, but none of them thought it pertinent to teach me how to fix cars or woodworking. Does that not make me a strong female character? #booksky

I sh*t on the second perspective all the time, but there is a place for it.

In the garbage.

Also maybe choose your own adventure books. I'll give you that.

Anyone who says that #indieauthors aren't real authors are forgetting the fact that traditional publishing is a relatively new thing in the context of the written word as a medium. Do you think Homer was published by a big five publisher?
March 29, 2025 at 7:02 PM
Does anyone know some #indieauthors that I can follow on here? I want to follow as many as possible.

I'm not pro censoring, but this whole Tori Woods drama really shows that, even though we don't want to police art, there are things that are seriously harmful when put out on the internet. We listen and we judge. #booksky

I'm actually really glad that Tori Woods got canceled because, in a community that really doesn't hold a lot of accountability, it's nice to see that there are some lines that even the dark romance girlies won't cross. #booksky
