I got to play some Elden Ring at a con last weekend. I can see how it can be fun. But I feel that I have now been tainted by the speed/fluidity of Nioh. I get being patient, but goddamn - ER is SLOW. Was I doing something wrong? Or have I poisoned my own well playing a faster game?

This thing doesn't need a remaster. It probably needs a polish and accessibility.

I've been forced to attend a session on Copilot and besides it cleaning up the tedium (meetings, action items) I can't see why anyone would be using it. The trainer said he prompted AI to write an inspirational email? He also keeps referring to the AI as if it's alive and has thought?! THE FUCK?!

I'm very much anti-AI but I saw some landscapes and it really doesn't know where things are. How can I be standing on a hill and there's a river in front of me, but there's no creek to it's left or right? It just slaps a river in the middle and calls it a day. THE LAND SLOPES TO WATER. COME ON.

Idk why people act like Japan is some mystical country ruled by honor. I'm sure any other country would appreciate you speaking their language. Why is Japan so special vs other countries in "following" their rules.

I also tried formula legends last night. It was fun, but the driving model doesn't give nearly enough feedback. I couldn't tell at some points I was locked up and turning feels funny. =/

I have a weird question. Blue states generate more funding, which in turn subsidise poorer performing red states. If Cali and NY seceded from the Union, would that be enough to effectively doom the other red states? Texas aside, it would be the very poor red states. =/

@seamoosi.bsky.social I was listening to the black mage ep. I'm pretty sure mages can't wear armour because of some fantasy book where metal/iron inhibits magical capability. But I can't recall the text.

I set up and installed my new computer. I started playing Monster Hunter Wilds - it crashed in the first cutscene. 10/10.

What's the deal with PC building communities trying to push you to spend "just a little more bro" "your rig isn't optimised bro"
I found out that the PC I ordered probably isn't as good at airflow. But we're going to find it out in use. Like. Why is there a PC meta? I just want to play.

It's been 5 years since Covid, but people still haven't set their zoom/teams settings to mute on join. I don't understand lol.

My god, I've been playing Hell Let Loose recently and I just got forced into the officer role. Coordinating with other squads, getting assistance from the commander?! It's just so good. Calling in a rotate, telling us we're overextended. Like yooooo.

I'm anti cop, but when I say I want less cop funding. It's because I don't believe cops exacerbate non-dangerous situations. I think certain problems are an issue with govt policies and less about adequate policing. Like take your cop funding and put it into programs whatever.

I take back what I said. I was aggressed in my game of humankind. I responded with a strategic bomber, battleship and cannons. They were fighting me with swords and horses.

Why is the last phase of a 4X always so bad feeling? I've never truly enjoyed it lol. I'm in the final leg of my game of humankind. And it's just not as fun as the start???

I can't comprehend people who avoid certain shops because it's "woke" I walked into a bookshop today that I know has a lot of diverse voices, perspectives and ideas. But it's not like 99% of the shop was like that. It was just a bigger focus and I found it better than most of the other local 1/2
