I'm sorry I called you a meatloaf, Jack.
Yes absolutely!
Common sense is a lost discipline of the thought process.
Regarding the gentlemanly "thing", among many experiences that amount to common sense behavior, my father died when I was just ten. Nothing bad about my father. To the contrary. He was my first hero. But, I was raised by a woman. A very smart one at that.
Funny thing about that book.😁 It was too expensive for one, and I "still" have issues with some of the image quality and editing. I believe they're $nuts$ on all platforms, but it did sell out. It really needs a redux.
Famed Pin-up and movie star artist, Rolf Armstrong, drawing Karloff on the set of Frankenstein. Studio heads; producers; directors; and publishers alike granted Rolf an open invitation to visit their studios, sets, and offices at any time. It was great for publicity. #art #Frankenstein #film #horror
It's quite easy. You behave like a gentleman, professional, and friend.

Thank you for the book. It was the first one of my art...🙂
Apparently a lot has to do with the artist/photographer. Every model I've worked with has said, "This was fun. Can we do that again"?
It seems to be a different exposure from the original transparency or in progress. Bama & my teacher Owen Kampen were buddies at ASL with Reilly. After Owen passed another Reilly student got me in touch with him. One of the first things mentioned, I have your Frankenstein PB! "Which PB", he asked.
Love Barbara Bouchet! Kalinda...By Any Other name.
It's a great PB. Bought mine off the shelf, and comically Jimmy Bama remembered the FM versions of The Monster he painted, but not this.
Hello Paula...With yet another tardy reply from me. Thank you for your kind words about my paintings. Yes indeed, @thylacine-rescue.bsky.social is spot on regarding Hollywood starlets. I have a folder of women posing for Witch Pin-ups. Here's a new color study and master drawing for my series.
Attempting caution with extemporary comments on BsKy but I was pretty certain that is Manfredo as he signed his work. His draftsmanship and painting skill is evident. He could construct an on-model idealized head without tracing or digitally painting a photo. A top 10 film poster artist, maybe 5 IMO
It is indeed quite amazing. Bernie would say this isn't a Universal or Hammer Frankenstein, it was his visual interpretation of Shelley's descriptions.
Damn...always wondered if this was meant to keep someone out, or someone in.
From the back cover of a Gold Key comic, Aurora's "Big Frankie". At a whopping five bucks, my purchases were limited to the smaller .98 cent Aurora Universal model kits.

Until now, I hadn't considered that Jane may have been Mickey's beard all those years. Also, unless the marks are a differing signature of sorts, this may be Manfredo Acerbo artwork.
1966 Don Post Masks calendar. It would seem that the prototypes were typically photographed for the ads and this calendar because the masks never looked this good in the box.

Bernie Wrightson 1948 - 2017
Early art from 1968. No surprise that Bernie had become a fan of Frazetta only a couple years before this.

You can see those punks are almost pissing their pants...
He was likely told it'll be just like playing Tarzan. And they really should have brought Jane along for the ride with Mickey.
Great poster!
Same here. Similar to Lawrence he was purchased during my early thirties, and now it's as though I'm Sir John.
It sure is. Impossible to not love his work.
