Nowhere near enough caffeine to hit the LD50 for average adult male weight, and likely they've built up a tolerance.

Or they could have variant.. was it CYP1A2 genes?

That makes quite a lot of sense, especially considering how deeply they were embedded in the US.

Lot cheaper to have those agents spread theories than to, say, build and maintain a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier.

I wouldn't call it laziness so much as a cull.. kind of like bad spelling and grammar in a scam email, it's a filter to weed out the folks who'll resist the pitch.
