As a retired English teacher with 40 years experience #2 is a solid point. It took me a few years before I could create truly precise, effective essay prompt. Hers, while not exactly vague, has some holes. Plus, I think the professor could have given the TA better mentoring.

Just finished watching "A House of Dynamite" on Netflix, a film about a possible nuclear attack on the US. It's disturbing... I'm trying to imagine the clown show of this administration dealing with the scenario portrayed in the film.
