I went out last night to attempt to get a photo of the C/2023 A3 comet, but had no idea where it would appear in the sky relative to where I was at but once it got dark enough it was in a great position for a photo.

I wish I could've been at a lower angle for this, but the walkway next to the lake is a good foot over the water and the bird didn't do this until it was almost right in front of me.

Foggy morning...

Looking down a wooden walkway through a field of tall grass as it disappears into the fog.

Glad I had some other lenses with me the other day when I went out to shoot some birds but came across some foggy scenes instead.

Got back up to check on the wood ducks this weekend...

Glad we were able to see the USAF Thunderbirds when we did since all of the demonstration team's performances have been cancelled due to the government shutdown.

I’m ready to start counting down the days until they return next spring 😅

Found a few pelicans down at the ponds this morning. There's not a lot of activity down there now that most of the spring and summer birds have left.

Trying to get some fall landscapes has been a challenge this year. The peak has passed in the nearby mountains but hasn't quite arrived down here on the front range.

Morning reflections...

Looking out across a pond at the rising sun. There's a dead tree that extends out from the shore and the colorful sky is reflected in the water.

One of my favorite local spots once we get into fall. It's such a nice and peaceful area to see the sunrise, and even better when there's a few clouds in the sky.

I can't imagine they have any positive metrics to show here. Just thought I might bring attention to the fact that I'm much less likely to spend additional real money in the game because of the unstable cores cost.
kevinosx.bsky.social
The unstable core upgrade cost is killing my desire to play this game, in addition to all of my friends quitting for their own reasons.

I can't be the only one that is being driven off by this, so I urge you to rethink this currency.
kevinosx.bsky.social
I am also much less likely to purchase any exotic ornaments, no matter how cool it is, because of the upgrade costs. If the item is not in my current build, I'm not going to buy an ornament for an exotic I can't even use to play activities.
kevinosx.bsky.social
@destiny2team.bungie.net With the steep cost of upgrading gear to my current power level, I feel limited in what I can use. Instead I just make one or two builds and stick with that. All the other gear is still level 10. I miss being able to easily swap around gear and try different builds.

I love seeing birds in the early morning sun, but the birds around here lately have been few since many of them have migrated.

Up and out before the sunrise this morning. It's been a while since I've been out this early but it was nice to get some photos in this morning.

One of my favorite performances I saw this past weekend was a jet powered glider...

My dad loved gliders and got me interested in airplanes when I was a kid. He would've loved seeing this...

A jet-powered glider, with smoke trailing from its wingtips, flies inverted as it reaches the top of a loop maneuver.

The number 5 (lead solo) jet of the Thunderbirds spends enough time upside down that they printed the number so it would be right side up.

Came across this little crab spider in the garden the other day that had matched the white and pink colors of the flower petals...

Bird action in the area has been pretty quiet as the summer birds have moved on and the fall birds have yet to arrive. Found this cormorant at one of the local ponds this morning.

A cormorant is perched on a tree stump in the middle of a pond, its wings spread, soaking in the morning sun to dry off its feathers after diving in the water earlier.
