I've got MQTT hooked up to the Raspberry Pi 500+ keyboard - I can indicate (as in light up a specific key) the outside temperature, status of lights and even if there is a cat at the cat-flap! I'll polish this up for a show on Sunday!

I've developed a Python app that converts Markdown into screenwriting formatted scripts as a PDF.

This format makes scripts significantly easier to read when recording YouTube videos, and it saves me from the lengthy formatting process required by other software.

A NAS shouldn't need too much processing power tbh, just lots of IO. Pi 5 is faster and more capable at IO that the 4, but it depends what the NAS is for - I have 2 NAS's at the moment, a primary one for my video files and a secondary one for backup.
