Not all foods are labeled for individual resale
- this means individually packaged treats might not have an ingredient label. 🛑 If you can't read it, don't eat it! 🛑

#FoodAllergies
🛑 Important Reminder! Don't rely on marketing terms like "allergy-friendly", "allergy safe", "classroom safe", or "school safe". Be sure to read the ingredient label to confirm if a food contains your child's allergens.

Annual reminder that different sizes of candies can have different ingredients.

Ex: full-sized Laffy Taffy has a different formulation than the small Laffy Taffy. The large bars contain egg. The smaller bars contain soy.
Keep everyone safe and included with non-food treats for celebrations, parties, and rewards! This is a great way to reduce the chances of a #FoodAllergy reaction!

Flu (Influenza)
For people with asthma, guarding against the flu is important every year because the flu can worsen lung function and make asthma symptoms even worse.

The best time to get your #flu shot is now! Flu shots can help prevent the flu and can make it milder and shorter if you do get it. Everyone over age 6 months should get a flu shot, with few exceptions.

Labeling laws help people with #FoodAllergies identify the major 9 food allergens. But if your food allergens aren’t included in the top 9, it may be harder to identify if a food is safe or not.
