Back on my painting doodles - will probably finish this up later but I've been enjoying doing some painted stuff.

Painting again, but just in the ink monochrome that I use. He's got a bit of a surprised face going on, kyahahahaha!

Tuck, with quite a surprised expression on his face - his ears are slightly perked up. Has a slight bit of a snaggletooth on his left side.

Simple study of Perly and rebuilding how to think when drawing rounder body types. Whenever I take loooooooooong breaks, I find redoing my studies helps me find my way back into my doodling mindset.

Most of the time, anyways, kyahahahahahahahahaha!

You’re correct! It’s my rendition of Lex! I tend to draw his ears bigger, and colour his eyes, but I’m glad he’s still recognizable. 💜💜

Doodle inspired by the 'Howling Wraiths' move.

Fan Art of 'Ghost,' the Knight from Hollow Knight surrounded by wraiths, exploding from behind their cape.

Doodled some rough Charms on their belt including Baldur's Shell, Grubsong 2, and Twisted Mirror.

Some Yoshster studies/doodles from the last few days - work is getting me bad but I missed doodling and won against my brain this week.

It's been awhile since I've done more 'dynamic' looking poses so I thought I'd turn it into some reference studies.

Sketch Studies of an anthro Yoshi;
Working on my left and right doodles, and posing the bodies during sketches a bit better and learning to doodle them out a bit more in the sketch phase.

My obligatory Large Yoshi doodle.

Working on drawing big bodies on my sketch phase, and working it out slowly rather than trying to do it all in one go and burning my brain cells.

Tried to keep it 'leveled' rather than 'arcing' downwards, that way it gives off a 'reference sheet' feel.

It's been a long time, but these were in my recent sketch page and were friend approved for posting! Kyahahahahahahaha!

Thought I'd doodle my two fave gargs together doing some bonding.

Broadway: "Don't need to drink it all, huh?"
Lex (translated): "But it tastes so goooood!"

He appears to have quite the expression of concern - and perhaps a tinge of annoyance.

B: "You're so warm and inviting... Ohhhh..."
Broadway appears to be enjoying himself, his tongue sticking with inviting eyes.

Lex: "God he's hot."
Lex's ears appears to subtly be twitching - perhaps his ears are a reflection of his feelings?

DK being so expressive reminds me of some of his wacky sprite work in the Country series, and it’s a welcome sight. It’s something I feel is core to the series, and has been missing since Rareware’s departure.

At times, I feel like I'm watching a rebooted episode of the TV series which is very fun.

Playing Bananza (3AM insomnia thoughts) I can’t help but notice some elements from DK64 and Country being used.

The variety in bonus games is extremely welcomed compared to Returns/Freeze, which got real old really quick.

Roll jumps returning is fun, and complements the explorative sandbox design.
