Been vibe coding my new website with Cursor, Figma / MCP server, & OpenAI's ChatGPT.

Just spent a good time playing with @figma.com's Make to add more vibes in the form of interactive vibrating divider lines. 〰〰〰〰〰〰

How isn't there an AI investment product named π yet?

1. Mathematics is the language of nature
2. Everything around us can be represented and understood through numbers
3. If you graph the numbers of any system, patterns emerge
Therefor there are patterns everywhere in nature

How does selling a preowned Tesla hurt Tesla?

It just means someone else is going to deal with these posters and feel the guilt of looking like they support a dictator’s henchman.

How about signs that just say “Don’t buy Tesla”

Do you think republicans judge their political leaders as much or as harshly as democrats judge their own?

Rather than writing off strong leaders, maybe democrats can drive them to do better?

Divided we fall.

This looks cool and is technically impressive, but what user problem is it solving?

I can understand the book style phones that turn into phablets, but if the phone takes up the same volume in your pocket to provide the same screen size when unfolded, what are you gaining?

DOGE is proposing a $5,000 payout for Americans to look the other way. Our national treasures, innovation, safety, financial security, consumer protections, health, rights, culture, power, and morality is worth way more than that.

This morning, the US National Science Foundation fired 168 employees, approximately 10% of its workforce, for no cause other than they were the agency's most recent hires. 🧪

Co-workers are leaving supportive messages before they have to clear out of the building at 5 p.m. Sent to me by a source ⬇️

If you're on Zoom all day, what's the point of being in an office?

"Others who are back in five days don’t have any teammates in the same location. They find themselves jockeying for parking, a place to sit, and private rooms to make video calls."

The five-day policy dials back flexibility that predated the pandemic; employees are returning to find they have no desks, not enough parking and still endless virtual meetings

When scrolling through @ign.com I’m taken aback by how many new games are based on old games: 1981 (Donkey Kong), 1987 (FF), 1988 (Ninja Gaiden), 1991 (Sonic), 1996 (Doom), 1997 (GTA), etc. It shows the power of strong IP and an industry struggling to create new compelling concepts.

Hot take on AI: AI prompts aren't as effective as UI. I haven't used a single visual genAI product (presentations, image, video, etc) that got it even close "right" on the first try, even with explicit prompting. Sometimes buttons, toggles and filters are easier to use than natural language.

The person who's moral principles you're getting upset about is the same person who built Facemash, in which he was accused of "breaching security, violating copyrights, and violating individual privacy". Is it a surprise he doesn't care about the negative impact his actions will have on people?

WTF is up with financial apps with mission statements akin to “we make financial services more accessible to the world” but then charge 3% for instant transfers, which is essentially a zero risk 2-3 day loan.
