I was lucky that there is an art community here in Honolulu that offered night classes in glass fusing. The hardest part is access to the materials and equipment needed to make it. I hope your area has something similar.

/its a cool design idea, might be possible with resin if glass is a no go.

if you want to make an art piece like that I would suggest considering glass fusing. it could be done and would be pretty cool. I make mosaics this way and use clear between piece, red (frit) brushed between pieces would make cool red lines.
