so! there's a hook modifier on a certain bone, with a weight group on the lattice applied like a gradient for smooth and clean bends, about 12 subdivisions on the Y, it's a big pain to assign the weight values manually but it does work really well most cases thank god

RIGHT?? i ended up saying Fuck It towards doing a thing via armature since it'd just keep having dependency loops, hook modifier aint the perfect solution but fate has given me no other choice but to resort to drastic, arcane measures
