Bitcoin markets currently have an aversion to what commutators rather irritatingly call a 'handle' or a round number. In BTC's case it's the 6 or $60k handle. Since last weeks plunge to $60k BTC has tried hard to obtain a 7 handle as no one wants to see the dreaded 5 handle.

Understand UK labour party has a different set of rules to the Conservattives, who have an in-party mechanism making it easy to call a PM no-confidence vote and then replace him, hence the large turn over in PM's in the last government. Labour does not have the same facility.

In a follow on to my early post regarding European stats: (de Gaulle) "As president, he advocated for a “European Europe”: a continent centred on itself and able to defend itself without the help of the US. " europeancorrespondent.com/en/r/is-it-t...
Is it time to apologise to de Gaulle?
“So in the end, de Gaulle was right,” wrote the BBC last March. With Europe distancing itself off the US, France's national idol is making a comeback.

Something I have suspected for a while. Plus it's a young person thing: 74% of 15-24 year olds view EU membership is a good thing, with only 58% of 55+ thinking so. Continuing anti-European US administration rhetoric will only reinforce this trend. <Graphic and data via The European Correspondent>

Yet another BTC wild ride: after falling through $70k on Thursday, then down to hard bounce off $60k in early Asian trade, here we are in a $66/63k trading channel. For how long? Based on price action since November '25, could be a while, as $60k is a natural base going back to '21.

BTC has finally 'hung' itself. As there was a long period in 2024 when it bounced around from $55k to $70k, it's hard to see chart-wise where it will stabilise (hanging refers to the Bitcoin long term chart formation, that looks like a 'hanging man').
