have you tried launching it with the task manager open and see if the instance stayed when it refuses to open? whenever steam doesn’t open i usually check task manager and close it over there to fix it.

the devs made a faq about the algorithmic code OCSN: which sounds trustworthy that they're not using claude. status and ocsn have completely different teams--hence why i sort of have a bit of faith.

but i'm still kinda skeptic on the company as a whole :x making a ticket w/ them to find more info.

As for the general explanation used on algorithmic AI, one of the mods here had the perfect explanation:

The content that it generates is the content that is given to it. Ex; if you interact with someone telling them hello and welcome to the app your summary will describe how you warmly greeted a user into the app. It uses data that you give to it to create a summary, contrary to how generative ai uses all kinds of external data fed into it's model to generate an outcome for the action you performed.
Generative AI works based on predictions using keywords from external data, it will craft its response according to the data fed to it. Algorithmic AI will only generate content you give to it and does so to tailor your feed/summaries/outcome measures. It does not generate new content or use external data in order to do so. ID end

The team seemed extremely passionate in providing a safe space for artists. but as for wishroll as a company providing them the money necessary--i'm now skeptic about them as a whole and i think they seriously need to be more transparent about their code. ty for informing. did a bit of research on this. after that lawsuit: they added a way to opt out on them training from your chats/data..though even though that's an option: the fact claude *did* so is concerning.

though: i'd like to believe specifically the devs for OCSN [1/2]

their other app, status, uses Claude: which is a environmental-friendly model that strictly only generates text answers (and is heavily against generating ai generated images)

hi: the app does not use genai. their daily wrapped system uses a built-in algorithm that basically calculates an outcome. you can read the dev's response to it here from their discord. it's very informative and i believe the devs truly care about artists.

the neighbor next to us is offering their apartment since they’re moving out but our credit score is probably not gonna be a good look on us

if that doesn’t turn out: we have a plan b apartment to move to: but we *really* need a patio..and this patio is a bit too small to keep our outdoor stuff.
