I have a theory that official that recognized the Eagles were making a sub did not get over in position in time cause he was too old, too slow to get over there. They covered for him & penalized the Birds. Some of these NFL officials are to old, too slow to do their jobs. Their Union protects them
Fangio has a point. If the Cowboys made a sub- the Eagles are supposed to be given the chance to match it. Even the umpire ran in to stop the snap, which shows the officials recognized it — but then they let the play continue anyway. That’s on the refs, not the defense. The INT should’ve stood
