About me: My name is Erika McCorkle, but I also go by Kira of the Wind online. Feel free to call me by either name. I’m open to cute nicknames, too
I am a millennial, internetting since 2003.
I have been writing/worldbuilding since the 90s
I am genderfluid and fictosexual, but she/her pronouns work just fine

Things I know and do:
I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology
Work the night shift at a blood bank as a lab tech
Taught myself Japanese, but I’ve forgotten much of what I once knew
Big fan of fantasy (games, books, anime, etc.)
I spend free time writing, reading, watching anime, or playing video games

I write fantasy that takes place in a queernormative world (meaning a world where being queer is normal and accepted).
My books are Dark Fantasy with Adult content, extremely in-depth worldbuilding, and themes of revenge and found families

Just a small anecdote of Grilled doing shenanigans

“Damn it, your brother’s coming down here.”
Grilled grabbed the Encyclopaedia Daemonica out of Aubergine’s hands and shoved it into a lock box. Another recent procurement. Traveling merchants always had lock boxes. Grilled had gambled with a jewelry merchant with the prize being one of his lock boxes and the key if he won. Grilled’s win was inevitable; the game was rigged with trick cards and he had cheated. But he’d only gambled against that merchant once, so as to not arouse suspicions.
Grilled’s hands were back on his wrists before the wall spun to allow Garlic in.
“What are you doing here?” Grilled asked.
“What are you doing here?” Garlic huffed in annoyance.

When there are demons present as players, they must ensure there are no Godlights in the vicinity which could kill the player if exposed to it for even ten seconds.

Tynan has two parents who are complex characters in their own right, four sisters, and two other relatives who live with them in the same "government-sponsored Godblood housing."

Their relationship with their sisters especially interests me because they will learn to love and be kind thanks to one

The thing about Tynan being born at the start of the book is that they have *zero* personality to start with. 😂 The most I can say they have is a default "desire to perform tasks in hope they will understand why it's good later"

It'll be fun to show them growing to love their family.

What's really cool about that, imo, is that it's a very nontraditional "final battle." A battle of strategy and wits rather than a brawl
