JoJo Schultz of a larger rescue, Furvivors, attempted to scam us, a small 2-person cat rescue, out of a $200 product by offering only 1/3 of the agreed-upon amount of cat litter, then canceling the agreement when I refused to give the item and insisted on the FULL amount of litter.

Thanks to dashcam footage + eyewitnesses and a nearby officer, Dan was quickly determined not to be at-fault. But he still feels awful about what happened. EMTs rushed the man to the hospital. We haven't gotten an update, so we have no idea how he is. 😔

Dan was involved in an accident with an e-bicyclist on Thursday evening. The bicyclist was going the wrong way on a 1-way street, with no lights, too fast, in the pouring rain, and ran into the side of his car, flipped over the hood, and immediately went into a seizure upon impact with the ground.

(There is something about the flavor of Subs that turns my cats into fiends! I actually had to ask my doctor to switch my prescription from the strips to tablets because my cats were fishing the wrappers out of trash cans and I was worried I was going to come home to find one of them overdosed.)

Long, heavy boxes inside the car + sudden braking at highway speed = bye-bye windshield. Yes, that's the back of the rearview mirror pushed THROUGH the windshield. Miraculously, the dashcam wasn't damaged, and Alyssa and her boyfriend weren't hurt by any shards of glass.
