Damn you're good. I think there are only 2 bosses I beat on the first try, all the others took various amounts of retries (Bilewater's one was a fun one, but the runback and the gauntlet were NOT necessary imo)

Maybe I started playing when I was not in the mood for something challenging. Or maybe this is Stockholm Syndrome - The Game. But right now, I'm enjoying the Silksong way more than I did a few days ago.

Even having to explore an entire zone I dislike for the 3rd time because I'm looking for something specific feels acceptable.

Yet, the more I play, the more I want to keep going. The end of Act I got rather tedious, and I didn't vibe with Act II until I had unlocked most of the map. I have yet to finish Act II, but right now, I'm really enjoying the game.

... the game likes to trap you (go into a one way corridor for an upgrade, get trapped on your way back by a 2 masks/hit enemy you can barely dodge). Idk. Some traps feel clever, others are really cheap and just here for you to lose time getting your rosaries back.

Some runbacks are way too long (even if "it's just a 2min walk", it gets absurdly annoying when you're doing it for the 25th time because the boss is hard), some benches are so far away from each other...

Silksong is a weird game. I definitely have a love/hate dynamic with it. Most bosses are challenging in a good way, and I often get the "dancing with the enemy" vibe the Sisters of Battle gave me in the first game. Yet, the game can be extremely unforgiving and frustrating at times.
