it can also help you go through all your layers faster, and help prevent drawing on incorrect layers, since you can open and close folders freely. you can even use folders to put filters or overlays on entire sets of layers at once! very neat thing to get in the habit of using

i find folders helpful for that myself, if i dont decide to just keep all my layers in a big lump. i like having my folders separated out by lines, shading, colors, and the background, so i can easily get back to and edit those things quickly
