Blooming ✨ when there's lots going on, but finding a spot of quiet.

Tried a lighter wash of gold paint to give a subtle glow effect. Maybe too subtle ?

This will be at Giant Robot Store for the Cuties show on Saturday Feb 8th !

Late post of the hourly comics I made this year. It's kinda nice to document bits of my day. I can't remember the last time I drew a human being.

Hourly comics - Kelly & her bf at taco bell at 12 am, eating around 1 am. Kelly sleeps around 2 am after doomscrolling. She wakes up around 9 am, decides to do hourly comics, 10:30 am therapy gets rescheduled, so she works on her comics some more with the pit stop on the TV (instead of journaling). At 12 pm, bf brings food & tea and at 1 pm Kelly decides to do her morning pages.

Hourly comics continued - from 1-3 pm, Kelly journals to figure out what to talk about in therapy, followed by her therapy session from 3-4 pm. from 4-5 pm Kelly goes grocery shopping because her & her bf don't feel too well. 6 pm-ish she cooks soup, watches wrestling and then takes a nap before waking up at 10 pm to do more comics until midnight.

I don't think I've cleaned this palette much (if ever) since college. Washing away this history of colors feels weirdly emotional.

I've been moving towards new brands of watercolor paints, so it's time to start fresh ✨

'Tied Together' & 'sssick tricksss' for Giant Robot Store (Sawtelle, CA) ✨ 🐍

It's the year of the wood Snake, so I wanted to feature a mizuhiki pine knot to sorta represent that ! I've been into Japanese inspired patterns lately too, so felt like a fun swap for a snakes usual scaled look
