Which is why, in my opinion, appointing a novice Sporting Director was an error. Second half of last season we had an inexperienced coach being supported by a novice SD, overseen by unknowledgable owners.

In the two games I've attended this season (Bristol and yesterday), there were a couple of very brief moments where we moved the ball quickly, one touch and nice movement, and we carved through the opposition. A bit of pace and most teams in this division won't be able to cope with it.

Agreed. I'm in no way a "just hoof it forward" person and I'm all in favour of keeping the ball, but our build up is so slow. Everything is 3 or 4 touch. Teams know if they just go into 2 banks of four and press us well, we won't be able to break them down and will eventually surrender possession.
