Finally, I am a human, not a machine.

My interests are broad and my life experience is deep, so I plan to dabble in professional stuff, but any social space is an extension of the fullness of my humanity—so expect anything!
Ok, I’m finally ready to admit Haitians make the best rice. Not that black rice stuff folks often talk about—that one’s still nasty to me. But Haitian rice and beans? Wooo.

Hands down best rice in the universe.

All the men in Boston are 5’6 or less. It’s like where all the short kings migrate to.

And I hate that for me.

Catching up on all the TV.

Finished All Her Fault—it wasn’t as good as the hype. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Started the 4th season of Bel-air—The Geoffrey story line is irking my soul but I genuinely love the vibe of it.

Also started the Beast in Me—Claire Danes does forlorn white woman so well!

No matter what price someone puts up about an apt in Boston or NY, there’s gonna be someone explaining how $5000 for a 2 bedroom less than 1000 sq ft apartment is a steal.

I genuinely wonder at what point will people collectively like wholesale say enough is enough?!!

The partisan divide has grown, too. The wealthiest 100 tended to give more to Republicans than to Democrats before last year. But giving to the GOP spiked in 2024, with *84%* of donations going to back Republicans or conservative PACs.

We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.

Adding Sasha Kaeble, Elmiene, and Sabrina Claudio to this list.

Music is such a big part of everything that makes life beautiful and feeling easier when it’s hard, so the fact I been discovering and digging deep this year makes sense.
I’m been introduced to so many wonderful “new” artists this year. It’s been a wonderful music year.

Learning about Naika, Lous and the Yakuza, Aqyila, Olivia Dean, Collette Lush, Victony, and Odeal.

There’s such good music in the Afro R&B and Soul genres.

I love a great reason to gather.

The Homies™ swarm in to dote on our girl and celebrate this beautiful union.

One of my favorite things to do is to binge episodes of The Terrell Show on YouTube. Long car drives, cooking, or doing my hair. Tonight's binge was so delightful.

Halle is a doll. Summer Walker is so hilariously unhinged, and Elmiene is the sweetest soul with a near butter voice.

My most controversial take on this whole meeting, though, is who knew you'd have Trump embrace Mamdani before establishment Democrats.

They should be ashamed!
November 21, 2025 at 10:40 PM
I swear, after the week I've had—Trump with the Oval Office version of giggling and kicking your feet up next to Mamdani was the lil afternoon cackle I needed.

Cheers to the weekend.

Bernie on Trevor Noah is such a good listen. I must say, he really sounds as strong as ever.

My favorite quote that really made me think is when he said democracy is seen as an impediment to these billionaires’ God given right to make as much money as they want.

Best summary of modern politics.

I love that private equity's ills are getting more smoke and attention, but as a comms person, the thing I hate about it is that it is faceless. It is a faceless, hard to touch and feel villain.

There are people behind these firms who own and make money from them. I'd love to vilify them.

Remember that trend of what feels like a scam but isn’t?

This issue should def be up for consideration. Buying up houses, and using the misfortune of people for profit.
Housing + Private Equity = A recipe for profit over people.

As urgency grows around housing and affordability, we peel back the curtain on an issue impacting hundreds of Detroit residents: housing as a digital investment asset.

I certainly did not have people normalizing pedophilia openly and publicly on my bingo card.

I knew people silently agreed with stuff. I knew people did things they publicly say are wrong, privately all the time.

But publicly trying to romanticize or straight up ask why is it wrong?!

I just seen the Teedra Moss colors video and that thread about wrap dresses from @solomonmissouri.bsky.social makes so much mores sense now! 🤣🤣

My Alma mater has been very embarrassing lately, and this is weirdly both satisfying and embarrassing because what was the president doing?
Can’t believe I’m about to repost a statement from any campus Republicans but in kind of an extraordinary move, the Women of the Boston University Campus Republicans have disaffiliated from BUCR until the president who called ICE on the car wash workers steps down and apologizes, per student paper

Do you know what it feels like to ask a 9, 10 and 11 year old if they like your outfit and they all groan “Noooooooooo” in unison. Then holler out things like “it’s giving…nothing” “no clock its” “just…ehhh…”

Man. I have never been this humbled in my life.😭😭😭😭

Realizing that life is really just a lot of reframing.

I remember years ago when I first started therapy my therapist told me I needed to replace negative thoughts with a positive one. I genuinely thought it was a crock of shit.

Now, I realize it’s the only way to have hope and survive.

"We are all better off when our neighbors are healthy, housed, and fed—every hole in the social safety net makes it weaker for everyone else. "

A worthwhile read from my colleagues @socio-steve.bsky.social and Noa!

This past July, the Trump administration used divide-and-conquer tactics to push through major cuts to social benefits. Fortunately, there are effective ways to fight back.

Bringing this back up because this album is truly so beautiful.

It’s been a while since I can listen to an album all the way through over and over again.
Halle Bailey’s album! Why is no one talking about it?

So good! Braveface had me heart it immediately.

Earnest post: there is increasingly direct evidence that Trump participated in child sex trafficking or at least knew about it.

He should resign, be impeached and removed from office, and prosecuted.

Even if you don’t think that WILL happen it’s important to say publicly that it SHOULD happen.

At all. How not one person did even a little quiet jig is beyond me.

A lil head movement? Nothing? I do not understand.
