Do I want to get the A-Ko movie I'm missing, or sell the 3 I own and buy this instead... Decisions, decisions 🤔
We promised a big announcement today, and it'll take a few posts in a thread to introduce a big one...

Project A-ko Perfect Collection 4K!

A-ko in 4K is a big deal & this is probably our craziest kitchen sink disc yet, so let's have a quick introduction to what the release will be...

Tomorrow we have a very special announcement.

We will be announcing one title here on social media.

This is a big big one that means a lot to us, and to a lot of you.

We also have an unhelpful clue for this one in the next post...

I went to a grown-up book fair, and a vendor sold one of the coolest things I've seen!

A "Scratch off TBR" 👀 You could buy them for $1/each, but I got mine for free by purchasing other items. Basically, you scratch off the foil and underneath is a book recommendation from the vendor, herself!

Bought one of those "blind date with a book" packages at a grown-up bookfair!

The tag reads:

- Gothic Fantasy
- Brooding Caretaker
- Mysterious mansion that hides more than ghosts
-A stubborn woman drawn to darkness

I haven't opened it yet! Any guesses?!

I'll report back with an answer 🫡

A few local organizations came together to hold a grown-up book fair downtown! There were local authors selling signed copies of their books, vendors selling book-ish crafts, hot chocolate, a book swap, and a few vendors selling popular titles.

It was *very* crowded! 😊

I'm handing out full-sized Reese's cups and Hershey bars. Gave a kid a Reese's and she was like, "Can I get two?"

I said, "No," because I want to make sure I have enough to go around, so she huffed and walked off 😂

People keep tossing their library card on the counter when they check out books. Should I start tossing it back? I probably won't because I'm too much of a chicken, but I would really like to 👀

I need dads to do better. This lady came up to get a library card and she was holding her baby. Her husband just stood there and watched her struggle to get her ID out of her wallet and hold the baby. Didn't even offer to help 🙄

Wow, okay. Listening to the live city council debate and all 4 candidates are in favor of across-the-board layoffs and are basically turning city employees into the villains. As a city employee, I can't bring myself to vote for any one of them 🤮

When the clerks are short staffed and we can't shelve books, and they start to pile up behind the circulation desk, I'll sing "Too Many Books," in the tune of "Too Many Cooks."

It's gonna be, like, 80° out today! Time for some porch reading! We just cut down our hydrangeas, so the view isn't as pretty as usual.

Currently reading: Moshi Moshi by Banana Yoshimoto.

So it's technically Sunday. I did so much housework on Saturday that I listened to an entire 10 hour audiobook 😂

Every time I go to a record store, I look for Portraits by Maribou State. I came across their most recent album the last time I went to Syracuse, and I came across this one at an HMV in York, England.

Picked up Melody A.M. by Röyksopp at Rough Trade East in London. What a great record store! This album was a favorite of mine in high school. I think I first heard it maybe a few years after its 2001 release.

Rough Trade labeled this vinyl an "essential" 😁

Spent the last week in England, where we hit up a few record stores. FINALLY came across an Efterklang album in the wild 🙌

I love these guys.
