Just wrapped up an intense week in Pakistan’s high-grit plateau around Peshawar and the Indus River Valley – some of the most challenging landscapes for biodiversity conservation. Inspired by the efforts of local communities, forest & wildlife authorities, WWF Pakistan and conservationists. 1/2

The crime goes far beyond the pangolin.
The illegal trade pushing them to the brink is more than just a conservation problem: it's a societal issue that jeopardizes community wellbeing.

This is the 11th year of #nepalpangolin roundtable bringing all the stakeholders together for pangolins. Conservation is a long-term effort, and we believe that fostering a conservation mindset within local communities and continuous engagement is essential for lasting impact.

Sometimes I feel we have stupid politicians only in Nepal, but then I see this kind of news, and I am reminded there is no shortage of clueless leaders worldwide. Funny but frustrating!

A real pinch me moment! Greenhood and I feature in the latest BBC ASIA series!

During my MPhil in Cambridge, our classes were held in David Attenborough Building. Previously, most batches had an opportunity to meet him in person over a formal dinner, but we missed that chance due to COVID. 1/

My first skeet!

Nature conservation is the biggest challenge of our times & we won't win this fight without bringing those who drive exploitation under the ambit of the law. Because when the poor have money, they buy bread, not a tiger head, I write for Al Jazeera Opinion:
Putting the poor in prison won’t stop wildlife crimes
When poor people have money, they buy bread, not a tiger head. But it’s they who are punished while racketeers get away.
