My Fourth of July Along The Delaware
This year's Fourth of July feels more like a funeral than a celebration. Still, fireworks and fried chicken along the Delaware River offered a brief respite from watching the American Experiment fail. I wasn't planning on doing anything for the 4th, but on a whim I rushed down Elfreth's Alley to see what was happening along the river; people had gathered at the end of Race Street Pier Park, enjoying the weather and the water, and the fireworks were already in progress when I got there.

I hold these truths to be self-evident:
that all persons are born equal, that they are endowed by the fact of their existence with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, that respecting these Rights for all persons is the responsibility of all persons, that defending these Rights is both natural and just.

Fetterman Must Resign
Senator Fetterman: Resign. You keep demonstrating that you are both unable and unwilling to do the job. Enough is enough. I will vote against you in the primary. I will support people working to remove you from office. If you make it to the general, I won't vote for Senator at all. So resign and let Governor Shapiro appoint somebody who can and will do the job right now.

Call out Senator McCormick on *his* bias. Let him know that you support NPR and PBS. I did.
Regarding Senator McCormick's YouTube video about defunding PBS and NPR: Thank you, Senator, but your proposal isn’t about “bias”—it’s about silencing viewpoints you don’t share. • Independent polls show that most Americans support public funding for NPR and PBS. • As non-profits, they correct errors, avoid infotainment, and consistently rank among the country’s most trusted news sources. • Beyond news, they provide vital educational and cultural programming to communities that lack other resources. Defunding PBS and NPR for political reasons would deprive millions—especially children, rural residents, and low-income families—of a reliable, noncommercial service. I urge you to reconsider.

Is the Police State roughing up a U.S. Senator finally enough to get Congress to do something?
Senator McCormick, Senator Fetterman, Representative Boyle: Is it enough to have a wannabe tin-pot dictator’s birthday parade with tanks and “historical costumes” waste fifty million taxpayer dollars after reckless, negligent cuts to vital services regular people--including servicemembers, veterans, and their families--depend upon? Is it enough when masked "officers" snatch people off American streets and from American court houses like a third world secret police?

Responding to Trump’s “Big Force” Threat
Dear Representative Boyle, Senator Fetterman, and Senator McCormick, President Trump’s threat to use “big force” against any protest of his birthday parade violates at least the First Amendment. Do…

"I have to laugh, but I also feel like I’m gonna cry, because this is so bonkers," said Bartram’s Garden executive director. The grant supported tree planting, high school interns and home gardens.
