It’s getting messy, and Soriel wasn’t what I was referring to. Briefly: Toriel shares indirect responsibility for the six children’s deaths and their violence against monsters, and she’d likely feel remorse toward Asgore. With all that, her dating Sans doesn’t feel in character.

I see. For example, if two details contradict each other, either one is right and the other is wrong, or both are wrong. With Toriel, I think there are many cases like that.

Why assume Toby can’t be wrong? He’s human—I think he makes mistakes too. He’s certainly one of the great game creators, but he’s not omniscient. That feels natural to me, and it’s a view we shouldn’t discard.
