When I emigrated in 2015 I flew direct from London to Manila, it was 13hrs 5minutes on PAL (Philippines Airlines). I love flying but that was definitely my limit without a stopover. I had usually stopped over in Beijing.

Google Earth is getting really good. This is our location in the Philippines. The majority of the green areas are actually milkfish farm ponds. Rice and sugar cane are grown a little further south. We're on the Panay river with the village beach on the Sibuyan Sea.
