10 days into the government shutdown, Zach Nunn is still choosing to raise our insurance premiums instead of doing his job and passing a budget. Kaiser is projecting premiums in the 3rd Congressional District to increase by 235%, and we have Zach Nunn to thank for it.

“In or at risk of Recession.” That’s what’s happening to our economy in Iowa. Zach Nunn voted for Trump’s tariffs and slashed our rural healthcare funding. Working class Iowans deserve a voice in DC, not just a rubber stamp for the President’s agenda.

While there is still more we don’t know about Dr. Roberts' case and are awaiting the facts to be verified, there is too much online speculation and too many people using this as a reason to spread hate and create fear in our community.

We must have transparency and accountability from all parties, including officials at the federal, state, and local levels. Everyone is entitled to due process of the law under our constitution and Dr. Roberts is no different.

I am proud that both our kids attended DMPS, and I’m honored to represent DMPS families in the Iowa legislature. What has been alleged so far is serious and upsetting and Iowans deserve answers.
