Last day of Farpoint! I will be doing two panels in McIntosh, one at noon on world-building, one at 2pm on writing in other people's universes. Otherwise, I'll be at my table in the dealer room selling things. Please come and buy things!

My favorite picture from Farpoint weekend so far: me with two wonderful online buddies whom I finally got to meet in person this weekend: Maggie Weber (a.k.a. Refashioned Hippie, who was also a guest of the convention) and @istielthia.bsky.social

Day 1 of Farpoint! I've got a whole table to sell things in the dealer room, plus I've got a reading at 5pm! Come see me!

(No Boogie Knights concert, alas. Too many band members trapped by ice and snow....)

Episode 4 of Starfleet Academy finally catches us up on what's happened with the Klingon Empire. @kradec.bsky.social notes that Star Trek has always been a show about choosing compassion over violence, and "Vox in Excelso" is a perfect example:

On @reactorsff.bsky.social it's the best Fantastic Four film to date, but that's a low bar to clear. The look is right, and they do right by Galactus, but the FF's MCU debut doesn't entirely work. The great superhero movie rewatch looks at FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS.
