and miko who probably did not even care about anything in the same way as ei did, took to this duty, because even when she's hurt, and sad, and grieving her friend leaving her behind (like everyone else) she will not abandon ei's wish. it's the only thing she has left of her now,

who knows how long until she fails miko too? then she locked herself away, and miko was left to once again pick up the pieces, because she too has lost friends, she also lost makoto and now ei is gone too...

i was in the eimiko camp before anything else so this answer really hit me, there's unmeasurable potential for yearning between those two especially because i feel like ei has taken her duty to protect inazuma so seriously that there was never a single thought besides protect my citizens/makoto
