This week I’ll hit 70,000 words on my creative project. At least 15k to go before the first draft feels right. And yes, I’m still doing my PhD too. Apparently I need to do both creative and academic work at the same time to feel any kind of joy in life. :D

I’m nearly halfway through writing my novel and would love to find an online writers group. Ideally something supportive where I can share ideas and connect with others. If you’re part of one or have suggestions, I’d love to hear them!

Working on my Skills and Knowledge audit for Milestone 1 of my PhD. Such a useful exercise. It's been a lot of work but really interesting planning out what I'm going to do develop over the next year.

Today is Day #1 of my PhD. I'm feeling a mixture of overwhelm, excitement, and pride. It's going to be an interesting four years!

Currently cleaning walls, putting up the Christmas tree and doing all things I neglected while doing my Honours. It's a long list!
