A glossy surface torn apart- rats, glitter, and scratched-out exits. This piece blurs beauty with infestation, asking if the promise of escape is real or just another trap.
This piece is about suicide. Not the moment itself, but the stillness of it. There’s movement in this drawing, but it isn’t release— it’s retreat. A gesture of leaving, of pulling away from the noise of living. It’s an attempt to make visible something so often unseen: the quiet, unbearable weight.
Tried something different last night using some paper I made back in college. I'm not much of a writer but it's something I've thought about trying out for awhile.
Promotional material from Her Show, bit of my bio. Kristi Fisk is an artist working primarily in drawing and painting. Her work delves into the complexities of suffering with a focus on the intersection of mental health, the physical body, and the pervasive effects of societal violence. #art#artist
Some sketches of what I think love looks like. It's dark and ugly, like much of my work, because I have a bit of a mourning session thinking about love, and how different things would be if we received a little bit more of the love we all deserve. #art#artist#drawing#sketching#sketchbook
