SFB's Frankenstein. Incredible show. Dancers were amazing! Perfect for October 🖤

I also wish I could go see them perform Like Water For Chocolate live. That was one of my favorites from their streaming service!

That feeling when the writers' group gives you such great feedback it makes it easy for you to make changes for the better.

Feeling much better about this new draft.

Survived Intermediate Technique, Pointe and a private lesson back to back to back. Getting ready to take on rehearsals!

Getting to read this before she retires. Wish I could get to see her perform live.

You could adapt this book "Maya and Natasha." I haven't read it yet (just published this year!) but it's about ballet dancers trying to get positions in the Kriov in the 50's. They're twins too! You could Lindsay Lohan it!

1,000's of students, plus their parents. Their aunts. Their uncles. Cousins. Brothers. Sisters. Babies. Toddlers. All converging on a college campus at the same time. What could go wrong?

R.A.s are in job training. College residence halls are so peaceful before the students move in...

I also draw from time to time. Aren't references great? You can also check the Instas/TikToks of pro dancers. They'll have a lot of good pics and vids for more references if you need it.

Ideally, both should be at least an hour / hour and fifteen, especially Intermediate. 45 doesn't allow for a full barre and center work.

Made it through two back to back classes after being away a week and a half. My legs are going to sore for the next few days, all the way through my next set of back to back classes.

Why only 45 minutes for ballet? It's supposed to be an hour and a half.

Lovely work! I appreciate that you drew the pointe shoe ribbons correctly. So many people get that wrong.

Taking some time to write up pitch deck/show bible info. It's fun to make up all the rules I want before a producer (one of these days maybe) tells me why they want to change everything.

The LEGO recreation of the convention center was so cool. Loved how much detail there was!

My teachers never make anyone do anything they're not ready for and are big on checking to make sure we're using our muscles right. You should be fine as long as you have qualified teachers (and listen to them.)

Ballet will only "destroy" your body if you're taught by unqualified teachers who don't instruct their students how to use their muscles properly to dance safely and/or put people en pointe before they're ready. As long as you or your child go to a reputable school, ballet is perfectly safe.

Reminds me of how Part of Your World nearly got cut from The Little Mermaid just because one group of kids "looked bored" during a test screening.

I'm glad you had a good show anyway, a lot of their productions sound like they turn out poorly 90+% of the time.
Glad my information was helpful, sorry it was kind of long. Hope you get a chance to check out more shows soon!

- buck. Which is why they're not bothering to do the full 4 Act Sleeping Beauty. They don't have the integrity to care. If you want to see more professional ballet, performing the full length shows, without gimmicks and world class dancing, the "three letter" companies are your best bet.
