Today would have been my grandad's 82nd birthday, but he passed away recently. It sucks that I never even told him I'm making a game inspired by memories of the summers I spent at their house 🥲

I remember we used to vibe on Discord with other game devs in the evenings and over the weekends working on our games, but everyone’s moved on or disappeared now.

Not for now with the massive renovation ongoing but I really want to learn 3D modelling at some point.

April 2024: left an unstable company. It shut down a week later without paying me.
November 2024: got laid off for financial reasons
March 2025: joined a much bigger company. Thought it would finally be stable yet people get laid off left right and centre.
When does this end?

You can make art.
The biggest step isn't getting good at art, it's being willing to make art that doesn't match the idea of "good art" in your head.
Making a lot of imperfect art is an essential step toward making perfect art; a counterproductive goal you shouldn't have anyway.
